In general we don't recommend taking Standardized Tests because Chinese Americans generally don’t tend to do well on them especially those of immigrant and refugee status. For those with non-fluent English speaking skills you don’t need to prove you can’t speak English. Taking a standardized tests means virtually nothing if you bomb it.

A good way to see whether or not you should take a Standardized Test is to take a full length practice test first. Make sure to take it serious as if you were taking a real test and if you aren't within 200 points of a good score just scratch the idea.
